Exede Common Questions

1. What plans does Exede offer?

Depending on where you live, you can either get Exede 12 service, with 12 Mbps download speeds and 3 Mbps upload — or Exede 5, with 5 Mbps download and 1 Mbps upload.

Regardless of which plan is available in your area, you will be able to enjoy great high speed service. All plans within each region boast the same high speed. They only vary by data allowance. Give us a call at 1-888-790-0712, and we can help you find out more about the service available in your area.

2. So I can enjoy the same speed no matter which plan I choose?

Yes, you get the same great speed no matter your plan. We believe you shouldn't have to pay extra in order to enjoy great high speeds. Instead, you choose a plan that is priced according to the amount of data available per month. This allows you to select your plan based upon how much data you use each month, rather than pay extra to enjoy fast internet speeds.

3. How can you offer speeds that are so much faster than other satellite internet services?

Exede's service can bring you such speeds, because it uses the most powerful communication satellite ever launched by a satellite company.

4. Is this really better than previous satellite internet service? How is it different?

Exede really is revolutionizing the satellite internet industry. Now there is a satellite internet service that enables you to:

  • Watch movies, TV shows and stream video with fewer buffering delays.
  • Enjoy better quality video chat with less jitter.
  • Download and stream music without long waits.
  • Share more photos with friends and family than ever before.
  • Enjoy faster browsing than any other satellite internet service has ever been able to offer.
  • Connect multiple devices such as computers, tablet devices, smart phones and more.

You can even get your home phone service with Exede, plus get a special discount when you bundle with Exede Voice.

5. What happens if I go over my monthly data allowance?

If you exceed your data allowance prior to your monthly reset date, your service will be slowed and/or restricted. You will still be able to use your service, but you may not be able to do things such as watch movies online or use it for other streaming media. On your reset date, your usage will be turned back to zero. At that point, your normal speeds will be restored. Remember that you can upgrade to a higher data plan at any time and that there is never any charge to do so.

6. Does the Freedom plan have a data cap?

The new Freedom plan provides at least 150 GB of data every month. That’s a huge amount of data. In fact, it’s so much that we think most customers won’t ever come close to using it all up every month. It’s comparable to the amount of data you’d get with an internet plan from a phone or cable company, and it’s way more than you’d get from your mobile carrier or any other satellite internet company. Per the Bandwidth Usage Policy at www.exede.com/legal, customers who do use greater than 150 GB of data during their monthly billing period will experience reduced speeds until the end of their monthly billing period, and may be contacted and asked to reduce their monthly usage below 150 GB or transition to another service plan. If a customer does neither, we may terminate service.
